That is one hunt that is on my bucket list! Are you going to be hunting public land?

Gonna be in this spot in a few weeks, hope a good bull is lurking again.
Got my 6.5 creedmoor setup and dialed in.
Ruger American 6.5
Group at 200 yards, Hornady 143 ELD-X.

Put crosshairs on the bull in the first pic at 70 yards but they disappeared into the pines and wasn't able to get a shot off.
Settled for this one the second to last day of the hunt.

Awesome buddy! That is so cool! I'd like to go someday but I'm afraid I may not ever recover from this covid crap enough to ever be able to breathe good enough to go to that altitude and hunt.

It's fresh mud from the wallowing hole he had just come from, thier hide is already tough and can dull a knife fairly quick, the mud and grime dulled 3 of my knives before I finished skinning. The processor requires them to be skinned.

That makes sense. Never had any dealing with elk so the tough hide is a new one on me.
