When times get tough, run to God instead of from Him. The devil will throw all kind of stuff at you, hurt, anger, heartache and even a sharp tongue. Today, ask your Heavenly Father for patience, guidance and forgiveness. Because God is faithful, you can depend on Him. Because God is good, you can walk with Him. Because God is love, you can trust Him.

Your Heavenly Father doesn’t want you to be religious, He wants to have a relationship with you. He wants you to talk with Him and also listen through your heart, to let Him take care of your problems, for you to turn to Him when you feel alone, to celebrate your blessings with you. He wants you to love Him. If you have that personal relationship with Him, you should always be hungry to want more spiritual growth. If you are at a place where you are just content with your relationship with Christ, then you need to re-examine it and ask yourself why. Just something to think about. Smith Wigglesworth once said, “The secret of spiritual success is a hunger that persists … It is an awful condition to be satisfied with one’s spiritual attainments … God was and is looking for hungry, thirsty people.”

You hear people all the time complaining about their job at one time or another, I too am guilty of this. Stop and think about something for a moment. Have you ever thought that God has you where you are for a reason? We are surrounded everyday with the people we work with that needs to hear about Christ Jesus or needs to be encouraged or sometimes needs just a friendly “How are you?”. How can we ask our Heavenly Father to put us somewhere else when we haven't done His work where we are. I am guilty of this, everyday I miss an opportunity right in front of me to witness to someone. That is something we all can work on in our current position. Start each day thanking God for another day and for all of your blessings, then ask Him to guide your steps through the day and to be able to recognize your chance to do His work.

Your Heavenly Father wants nothing but prosperity for you. This does not necessarily mean wealth or worldly riches. It means that you live a life of good welfare, where God meets your needs, and you are being fulfilled. It means you are free to enjoy the blessings of God. If He desires that for us and we don’t feel it, then something is standing in the way. That would be the sin that we do not confess to Him. When you try to hide or cover it up instead of confessing it to Christ then it is keeping you from receiving the prosperity that God has for you. You cannot run or hide from God, so today, whatever it is that is keeping you from all of God’s blessings, confess it to Him and receive all the grace and forgiveness He has waiting.

Trusting your Heavenly Father is more than what you can see. You must walk by faith and trust. You can't see the wind, but you know it exist, the same with God's love and grace. It is there, you have to believe in your heart. Today, trust Him in a situation you have been dealing with, give it to Him.

A heavy heart is the beginning of misery, a load that we were never created to carry. A heavy heart and all the emotions that come with it has a large part to do with our overall health. Studies have shown that physical illness can come from emotional sickness, so the entire body is affected by a heavy heart. The good news is that God has a remedy, it’s called JOY. Real joy doesn’t come from just laughter, fun and games, material things or riches. Real joy comes from Christ Jesus. John 15:11 says “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” We cannot base our joy and happiness on circumstances because our circumstances are constantly changing. Real joy can only come from the peace that only Christ can give you. I challenge you today to give everything that is weighing on your heart to your Heavenly Father and allow Him to give you that peace, that real JOY.

What if? What if Christ Jesus came back today? Can you look into your heart and honestly say that you are ready? The bible tells us that "The day is at hand". From the day of Pentecost until present day, we are in the time frame of "The day is at hand". So again, are you ready? If not, let today be the day that you get right with your Heavenly Father, only He knows when the day of return will be.

God forgives us for more than anyone could ever possibly owe us, and we must learn to be as merciful and forgiving to others as He is to us. He tells us over and over to love thy neighbor, which is not always easy to do. Remember, if it were not for His goodness, His mercy, His strength, we would not be here.

No matter how smart or successful any of us can become, we can lose our way in the darkness if we don't allow God to guide our steps and lead us. He wants to lead His people. Our privilege as believers is to find, follow and finish the will of God. In to do that, we have to truly trust in Him. In your alone time with Him, listen to what He tells you. He will speak to you, place a thought in your head or something on your heart.. Today, truly listen to what He is trying to tell you.

If you have gotten away from God, remember God doesn't remember your sin once you ask forgiveness, He only remembers your faith. If your path has strayed off from your Heavenly Father, ask Him to help guide you back on the track you need to be on.

I have heard people say and have talked with people that say there are times when they have little or no faith. In for your faith to be strong and true, you must be in God's word. You must know what the bible tells you. You can't be healthy if you eat noting but junk food, the same with your spiritual health, you must feed it with the right things.

How is your patience? Your Heavenly Father has the greatest patience of all. He could come back and destroy the world at any moment, but He is patient. He is giving everyone the opportunity to turn to Him, to accept Christ and receive salvation. Have you received Him yet? If not, let today be that day. Read 2 Peter chapter 3 sometime today for more about His patience.

It doesn't matter what your background is, it doesn't matter what you've done in your past, it doesn't matter the color of your skin, the same God that made you made me. The only color that matters is red, the color of the blood that was shed for you and me that our sins would be forgiven so we could have eternal life with our Heavenly Father.
