When you read the bible, is it more of a glance, you forget what it says in 10 minutes or do you study what it says?
The bible tells you 2 things, what you are and what you can be. If you look in the mirror and see a dirty face, you clean it, the same way with the bible, when you look into it, you can see what needs to be cleaned. How are you reading the bible? When you read God's word, read it with your heart besides just your mind.

A lesson that I have learned is, it’s not too late. It’s not too late to be forgiven, it’s not too late to change things, it’s not too late to live the life your Heavenly Father wants you to live. We should only look back long enough to confess our sins and learn from past mistakes. Stop beating yourself up and start living again, living the life God wants you to live, a life for Him. I guarantee when you genuinely seek forgiveness and focus on a life for Christ, you will receive a peace and comfort that you won’t be able to explain.

I believe the first conversation you need to have as your day starts is with your Heavenly Father. Thank Him for your blessings, ask Him for His guidance and ask Him for His forgiveness. When you start your day with something positive, odds are the rest of your day will follow. I struggle daily with everyday life, just like everyone else. I pray often, I ask for guidance, I ask for forgiveness and I give thanks for all that God has blessed me with. I try to be the person He wants me to be, but I fail daily. We are human, it’s our nature to fail Him. The good news is, we are forgiven. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins, so that we would be forgiven and we can turn to Him and have eternal life in Heaven.

When a person first accepts Christ as their Savior, that is the most "On Fire For Jesus" you will ever be. Slowly you start to fall back in your worldly life and routines. The one relationship that will save your soul is put on the back burner. Today, strive to get your "Fire For Jesus" back, study His word and surround yourself with Godly people.

Did you know that God knows everything that you are going through. Every situation that you deal with points to a deeper meaning. It could be pointing to a deeper trust, deeper faith, deeper prayer time, deeper forgiveness. He can handle every situation in your life, it's up to you to let Him. In your quiet time today, ask God to show you the deeper meaning of what you are dealing with and allow Him to handle things.

It is your job to plant the seed about God. You may know someone that doesn’t know Christ and doesn’t’ even want to discuss it. It is your job to keep planting that seed and God’s job to water it. It’s not your job to open their heart to God, but God’s job to open their heart to your words. Keep praying about it and planting the seeds until they hit fertile ground.

To some, that gift is known and to others it is not. All gifts that God gives you should be used for His glory. If you don’t know what your gift is, ask your Heavenly Father to should you what your gift is, then pursue it and use it for His glory.

I often speak of prayer. It is so important to talk with your Heavenly Father daily. Sadly, there is a large of number who only pray when they need something or want something. Then they ask, God, why are you doing this? or God, why aren't you doing this? That is the selfishness in us. Prayer is so much more, it's one of the keys to your salvation. Thank God everyday for your blessings, thank Him for the people in your life, pray for others, your leaders, your schools, your churches. When you truly talk with God, you must be willing to open your heart and mind and listen to Him speak to you, and He will.

Sometimes you get mad at God because you don't think He is moving fast enough or fixing your problems fast enough. You must remember all things in His timing, not yours. He will move you from point A to point B but it will not always be in a straight line. He will take you down some curvy roads to get you there. He will not always fix your problems the minute you ask Him to, but He will lead you through other situations to get the end result. He will check your faith to see if you are sincere or selfish. So instead of getting mad because things aren't happening the way you want it, be thankful and faithful.

The Bible tells us after Jesus fasted for 40 days the devil came and tempted Him. It didn't work because Christ kept His mind focused on what was right, what God wanted. The same is true with us, the devil doesn't make you sin, he just plants a thought. The devil didn't make Eve eat the forbidden apple, he planted the thought and made it look desirable. Your mind and your heart controls everything you do and that is where the devil enters your actions. If you stay close to God, control the things that enter and leave your mind and your heart, you will defeat the devil. Today, keep your thoughts right and receive God's blessings.

Have you noticed that we are good at making a mess of things. We have situations that happen in our lives and we try to control everything and all we do is make a mess. God has given us responsibilities and instead of letting Him control them, guide us, we think we can handle everything. Well there is a reason all we do is make messes. You have to humble yourself before your Heavenly Father. When you do, all the anxiety goes right out the door, along with the pride and arrogance as well. Today, instead of you trying to control everything, let Him take control and you receive the peace that He has to offer by you obeying.

The God we serve is much bigger than the burdens we carry! We all have something that goes wrong or makes you worry and that is an invitation for the devil come on in and add to it. Before long you feel like you can't handle anymore or feel like you want to give up, that there's no way out. You can't take anymore because you can't, but God can. There is nothing that He cannot handle or bring you through if you will only humble yourself and give it all to Him. Don't give Him one or two things and you try to handle the other, no you must give it all to Him and sincerely seek and trust Him. If you will only allow Him and listen to Him, follow His guidance, your problems will start dropping off one by one. Today if you think you are drowning, get on your knees right now and surrender it all to Him. Remember the song, "I Surrender All"
