The only kind of blades and knifes I make
I make flint blades and also I use some glass. The big red one is made from glass from a marble factory. It's about 8" long.

The one on the right is made fro mahogany obsidian, the one on the left is dover, and the one in the middle is Buffalo river chert that I heat treated.

These are all "blanks" They haven't been pressure flaked yet. I will notch them later and the pressure flaking cleans up the edges and makes the uniform little grooves in them.

Some good looking knappin. My brother use to knap points,blades and scrapers brfore he passed away. I never got to get him to teach me. Sure wish now that I had. There is an art to it. Keep on knappin.

Yes it takes lots of practice and lots of material to work through ( and mess up and break ) to learn. I learn something every time I make one.
