I did some close range shooting not long back ( the pic in my signature ) I have the nikon P223 that has the 200 and 400 yard hash marks. The funny thing was at 50 yards the 200 yard hash mark was dead on at 50. The main cross hair is dead on at 100 and the 200 is dead on at 200.
Why is it hitting dead on with the 200 mark at 50 yards???

50 and 200 yards is your crossover. Zeroing the scope at 50 yards gives a battle zero, everything will be in the vitals out to 225 or so.
