7mm-08 pet loads?

Post by MUP »

Anyone have some load data that works well for them in 7mm08? Not immediately going to get after it, but just like to hear what works for others. ;)

Ryan, do you have any load data that you've tried for the 7mm08?

I don't have one, Steve. I have heard that they are not very picky, and the 4350 burn rate of powder works well in them. I know that you have some Varget, and it was designed for the .308, which is the parent case to the 7mm-08, so it should be a good fit, also.

32 gr H4895 120 gr Sierra pro hunter. Youth load.
43 gr H4895 120 gr S pro hunter.
44.5 gr varget 120gr S pro hunter.
43gr varget 140gr Sierra Game King HP.
48 gr H4350 140 Sierra GKHP. Best of my knowledge this is a compressed load.

Remington primers in all loads.
C.O.A.L. 2.780" in all loads.

Im sure most of these can be found in the books. I just went though my books with Sierra bullets. and posted those that shot an inch or less at a hundred yards.

I can send you some loads with the 120 Nosler BT and the 139 SST but will have to dig deeper. I picked Sierra cause they shoot great and perform the same.

Thanks AO! I do plan to utilize any Varget load that I can tho, b/c it seems to be a good powder for this caliber, and b/c I have the most of it. :D
